Irony, indie and island charm
Wet Leg is a British indie rock band from the Isle of Wight, founded in 2019 by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers. They gained international attention in 2021 with their debut song "Chaise Longue". The song, characterised by dry humour and minimalist post-punk energy, became a viral hit and paved the way for their self-titled debut album, which caused a worldwide sensation.
Wet Leg's music combines catchy guitar riffs with laconic lyrics that are often laced with irony, sarcasm and everyday observations.
