Weezer

**Weezer** is an American alternative rock band that was founded in Los Angeles in 1992 and is known for its catchy, often humorous sound. The band consists of singer and guitarist Rivers Cuomo, drummer Patrick Wilson, guitarist Brian Bell and bassist Scott Shriner. Weezer became instantly famous with their self-titled debut album *Weezer* (1994), known as the "Blue Album", and delivered classics with songs such as *Buddy Holly*, *Say It Ain't So* and *Undone - The Sweater Song*, which still have cult status today.

During their career, the band experienced numerous musical changes between pop, rock and experimental elements. Their second album *Pinkerton* (1996), initially a commercial failure, later became a fan favourite and is now celebrated as a milestone in emo and indie rock. Over the years, Weezer released a series of albums, each with its own musical flavour, including the "Green Album" (2001) and the "White Album" (2016), with each work showcasing a different facet of the band. Their versatility and mix of catchy melodies and ironic lyrics have made Weezer one of the most enduring and popular alternative rock bands.
