Sugababes

**Sugababes** is a British girl group that was founded in 1998 and is considered one of the most successful pop groups in the UK. The original line-up consisted of Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan, although the group has reformed several times over the years. Sugababes are known for their ability to blend pop music with R&B, soul and electro influences, and achieved great success in the charts with their blend of vocal harmonies and innovative sounds. Their first big hit was *Overload* (2000) from their debut album *One Touch*, which established the band as a fresh voice in British pop.

With the second album *Angels with Dirty Faces* (2002) and new members Heidi Range and later Amelle Berrabah, the Sugababes experienced their commercial breakthrough. Songs such as *Freak Like Me*, *Round Round* and *Push the Button* climbed the charts worldwide and made the band internationally recognised. They established themselves as pop cultural icons of the 2000s, whose music was characterised by experimental productions and contemporary beats. They were known for setting trends in the music scene while remaining accessible.

Despite several member changes, the Sugababes' popularity remained constant over the years. After a hiatus, the original line-up returned in 2019 under the name *Sugababes* and released new music as well as reissues of their old hits. Through their constant evolution and genre-bending sounds, the Sugababes have established themselves as one of the most enduring and influential girl groups on the British music scene and remain a relevant force in pop music today.
