Jan "Seven" Dettwyler, born on 18 October 1978 in Wohlen, is a well-known Swiss musician and singer in the fields of R&B and soul. He is also known under the stage name "Seven".
Dettwyler began his musical career as a 15-year-old singer in the band Natural Acapella. His first album "Dedicated To ..." was released in 2002. This was followed by several concerts, including as the support act for Destiny's Child in Zurich's Hallenstadion.
His second album "Sevensoul" was released in 2004 and reached number 35 in the Swiss charts. The 2005 album "Lovejam" reached number 9 in the Swiss charts. This was followed by appearances in the UK and at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006.
The album "Home", which was released in 2007, reached number 5 in the charts and won a gold disc. His album "Like a Rocket" was released in February 2009.
In 2011, Seven released his first album in Germany with the title "Focused" and the accompanying single "Lisa". The album "The Art Is King" was released in 2012.
In 2016, he took part in the third season of "Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert". In 2020, he hosted the first season of "Sing meinen Song - Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert" on TV24. In 2021, he hosted the second season of "Sing meinen Song - Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert", which was again broadcast on TV24.
