Greta Van Fleet

Classic rock featuring powerful guitars, great melodies and modern stage energy

Greta Van Fleet blend classic rock, hard rock and blues rock with a distinctly audible nod to the sound of the 1970s. Their sound is characterised by powerful guitar riffs, extended instrumental passages, dynamic drumming and Josh Kiszka’s distinctive high-pitched vocals. Despite their retro influences, the band has developed a unique, modern rock sound of their own.

Thematically, their songs explore freedom, self-discovery, love, nature and existential questions. This often gives rise to vast, evocative soundscapes that emphasise the sometimes epic nature of their music. Moving between introspective moments and powerful rock anthems, they create a sound that is deliberately grand and emotionally resonant.

In their live performances, Greta Van Fleet deliver an energetic rock show featuring extended guitar solos and a wide range of musical dynamics. The band combines powerful songs with moments of improvisation and a strong stage presence. This creates the atmosphere of a classic rock concert, complemented by modern production and spectacular visual staging.

Greta Van Fleet are among the best-known representatives of a younger generation of rock musicians who are reinterpreting the classic rock sound. With their strong focus on the great rock bands of past decades, they appeal to both long-standing rock fans and a younger audience. As such, they embody the enduring link between the classic rock legacy and modern festival and concert culture.
