American blues guitarist and singer Gary Clark Jr. returns to Germany this summer for two exclusive concerts. The Austin, Texas native will perform at Carlswerk Victoria in Cologne on 15 July and at Huxleys Neue Welt in Berlin on 16 July.

In 2014, Gary Clark Jr. gained worldwide recognition when he won his first Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance with the song „Please Come Home“ from his 2012 debut album „Blak And Blu“. His third album, „This Land,“ released in 2019, debuted at number 6 on the Billboard Top 200. It was notable for its socially conscious lyrics and marked his third consecutive top 10 debut. „This Land“ was highly praised by renowned publications such as the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and many others. At the 2020 Grammys, Clark swept the board, winning awards for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song with „This Land“, as well as Best Contemporary Blues Album.
