Disturbed

Disturbed is an American metal band from Chicago that was founded in 1994 and has since become one of the best-known representatives of modern hard rock and alternative metal. The band, consisting of singer David Draiman, guitarist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer and drummer Mike Wengren, is known for its powerful sound, which is characterised by aggressive guitar riffs, driving rhythms and Draiman's distinctive vocals. Their breakthrough came in 2000 with the debut album The Sicknesswhich produced hits such as "Down with the Sickness" and brought them international attention.

In the following years, Disturbed established itself with albums such as Believe (2002), Ten Thousand Fists (2005) and Indestructible (2008), the band has continued to make a name for itself in the rock and metal scene. Their music combines hard, catchy melodies with thought-provoking, often socio-critical lyrics, which earned them a broad and loyal fan base. In particular, their cover version of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" (2015) showed the band's versatility and became a worldwide success, emphasising their emotional depth and musical range.

Despite a short break from 2011 to 2015, Disturbed returned with renewed energy and have continued their success story ever since. With their latest album Divisive (2022) and energetic live performances, the band remains an integral part of the international metal scene. Disturbed stands for a unique blend of heaviness and melody and continues to prove its ability to evolve without losing its roots.
