Bonez MC, real name Johann Lorenz Moser, is a German rapper, producer and member of the hip-hop group 187 Strassenbande. Born on 23 December 1985 in Hamburg, he is best known for his distinctive, raspy voice and concise lyrics. Bonez MC became one of the defining figures of the German rap scene in the 2010s and achieved great fame both as a solo artist and with 187 Strassenbande.
His breakthrough came in 2015 with the collabo album *High & Hungry 2* together with Gzuz, another member of 187 Strassenbande. However, his big commercial success came with the album *Palmen aus Plastik* (2016), a collaboration with RAF Camora. The album mixed dancehall elements with modern rap and produced numerous hits such as "Ohne mein Team" and "Palmen aus Plastik". It was a huge success in Germany and Austria and had a lasting impact on the sound of German-language hip-hop.
Bonez MC is known for his independence and unmistakable style, which is often characterised by uncompromising, tough lyrics and an authentic street perspective. Together with 187 Strassenbande, he has built up a large, loyal fan base.
