**Black Country Communion** is an English-American rock supergroup that was founded in 2009 and consists of prominent musicians: singer and bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze), guitarist and singer Joe Bonamassa, drummer Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater). The band combines elements of hard rock and blues rock and is known for its powerful live performances and the virtuosity of its members. Their sound is often compared to the classic rock bands of the 1970s, enriched with modern influences.
Black Country Communion released their self-titled debut album *Black Country* in 2010 to critical acclaim. Songs such as *One Last Soul* and *The Great Divide* showcased their ability to combine energetic rock music with strong melodies and dynamic songwriting. The band particularly stood out with Hughes' powerful vocals and Bonamassa's masterful guitar playing, while Bonham and Sherinian added rhythmic depth and textural variety to the music.
After several albums, including *Black Country Communion 2* (2011) and *Afterglow* (2012), the band briefly split up before returning in 2017 with the album *BCCIV*. This work was once again celebrated by fans and critics and showed that Black Country Communion continues to be considered one of the outstanding supergroups in hard rock. With their unmistakable mix of bluesy riffing and epic rock compositions, the band has earned a firm place in the modern rock landscape.
