Volbeat

Volbeat is a Danish rock band that was founded in Copenhagen in 2001. The band is known for its unique style, which combines elements of rock 'n' roll, heavy metal, punk and rockabilly. Their sound is characterised above all by the distinctive voice of frontman Michael Poulsen, who is also the band's guitarist and songwriter. In addition to Poulsen, the current line-up consists of Jon Larsen on drums, Kaspar Boye Larsen on bass and Flemming C. Lund on guitar.

Volbeat's international breakthrough came in 2007 with their album Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devilwhich immediately reached number 1 in the charts in Denmark. At the latest with later albums such as Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (2013) and Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie (2016), the band has firmly established itself in the international rock and metal scene. Their songs such as "Still Counting", "Lola Montez" and "For Evigt" are now real classics and are known for their energetic, melodic sound.

Live, Volbeat are famous for their rousing shows and their close connection with the audience. They have played the world's biggest festivals, including Wacken and Rock am Ring, and regularly tour worldwide. With their characteristic mix of musical styles and catchy melodies, Volbeat have firmly established themselves in the modern rock world and are celebrated by fans and critics alike.
