The Lumineers

The Lumineers are an American folk rock band that was founded in Denver, Colorado, in 2005. The band, consisting of Wesley Schultz (vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, piano), gained worldwide fame with their catchy and soulful sound, which is characterised by acoustic instruments and harmonious vocals. Their music combines influences from folk, Americana and indie rock and appeals to a wide audience with its emotional lyrics and simple yet powerful melodies.

Their breakthrough came in 2012 with the release of their self-titled debut album *The Lumineers*, which included the hit "Ho Hey". The song became a worldwide success and made the band a permanent fixture on the indie and folk music scene. Songs such as "Stubborn Love" and "Ophelia" also cemented their reputation as one of the most important folk rock bands of the 2010s. Their albums often tell interconnected stories and deal with themes such as love, loss and self-discovery.

The Lumineers are known for their minimalist but intense live performances, in which they reduce their emotional music to the essentials. With their authentic and accessible style, they have managed to gain a broad fan base and have had a significant influence on the folk renaissance of recent years. To this day, they regularly release albums, including *Cleopatra* (2016) and *III* (2019), and remain a major force in contemporary folk rock.
