Takida is a Swedish rock band that was founded in Ånge in 1999. The band, consisting of singer Robert Pettersson, guitarist Tomas Wallin, bassist Kristoffer Söderström, drummer Mattias Larsson and keyboardist Chris Rehn, has built up a loyal fan base with their melodic rock and catchy songs. Their breakthrough came in 2006 with their album ...Make You Breatheespecially through the single Curly Suewhich was a great success in Sweden.

Takida combines powerful guitar riffs with emotional lyrics and a clear, distinctive singing voice. Their music moves between alternative rock and post-grunge, and they are often compared to bands such as Nickelback or 3 Doors Down.
