Simple Plan

Simple Plan is a Canadian rock band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 1999. The current line-up of the band consists of Pierre Bouvier (lead vocals, studio bass guitar), Chuck Comeau (drums), Jeff Stinco (lead guitar) and Sébastien Lefebvre (rhythm guitar, background vocals).

The band has released six studio albums: "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls" (2002), "Still Not Getting Any..." (2004), "Simple Plan" (2008), "Get Your Heart On!" (2011), "Taking One for the Team" (2016) and "Harder Than It Looks" (2022). They have also released an EP entitled "Get Your Heart On - The Second Coming!" (2013) and two live albums: "Live in Japan 2002" (2003) and "MTV Hard Rock Live" (2005).

The band performed on the Vans Warped Tour every year from 1999 to 2005, as well as in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2018. They also performed at the closing ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

The story of Simple Plan began in the mid-90s when drummer Chuck Comeau and singer Pierre Bouvier met in high school and struck up a friendship thanks to their shared obsession with music. Later, they and their friend Jean-Sebastien were approached by their music teacher, who suggested that they should form a band.

After many unsuccessful phone calls, Chuck finally managed to reach Andy Karp, the A&R manager at Atlantic Records. Andy Karp listened to Simple Plan's demos, enjoyed them, but was not yet completely convinced. On 22 January 2000, the band played their very first concert under the name "Simple Plan", still as a quartet.
