Rod Stewart

Sir Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE, born on 10 January 1945 in Highgate, is a British rock and pop singer. With more than 250 million records sold, he is one of the most successful British singers. He was voted 59th of the 100 greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone.

Stewart was born in England in 1945 as the son of Scottish immigrants in the working-class neighbourhood of Highgate in London. He originally wanted to become a professional footballer and signed a pre-contract at the age of 16. However, when a football career did not materialise, he attended the London Academy of Art after leaving school.

His music career began in the 1960s when he sang with various bands. His breakthrough as a solo artist came in 1971 with the album "Every Picture Tells a Story". Some of his best-known songs are "Sailing", "Baby Jane", "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?", "Every Beat of My Heart", "Maggie May", "I Don't Want to Talk About It" and "Rhythm of My Heart".
