Revolverheld is a German pop-rock band that was founded in Hamburg in 2002. The band consists of Johannes Strate (vocals), Kristoffer Hünecke (guitar, vocals), Niels Kristian Hansen (bass) and Jakob Sinn (drums). Originally active under the name "Manga", the group changed their name to Revolverheld in 2004 and made a name for themselves with a mixture of rocking guitar riffs and catchy German lyrics. Their breakthrough came in 2005 with their self-titled debut album, which contained hits such as Die Welt steht still,Freunde bleiben. In the following years, the band landed numerous chart successes, including Halt dich an mir fest,Ich lass für dich das Licht an,. These songs, characterised by emotional lyrics and a warm, melodic aesthetic, made Revolverheld one of the best-known acts on the German-speaking music scene.
