One Ok Rock

One Ok Rock is a Japanese rock band that was founded in 2005. The band consists of the members Taka (vocals), Toru (lead guitar), Ryota (bass) and Tomoya (drums).

The band was founded by Ian Astbury under the name Death Cult and emerged from the band The Southern Death Cult. The band name One Ok Rock is derived from the English "one o'clock", which refers to the time they rehearsed.

Their debut song "Naihi Shinsho" reached 48th place in the Oricon charts and sold 15,000 copies. Their debut album "Zeitakubyō" followed in 2007, and in the same year they went on their first tour, performing in several cities in Japan.

In 2008, they released their second album "Beam of Light", which they later regarded as a learning process for the band. Their third album "Kanjō Effect" was released in the same year.

In 2009, member Alex left the band following an arrest. Despite this setback, the band continued their musical career and achieved further success.

Today, One Ok Rock is one of the best-known rock bands in Japan and has also gained international recognition. They are known for their energetic live performances and their ability to mix different styles of music.
