No Angels

**No Angels** are a German pop girl group that became famous in 2000 through the first season of the casting show *Popstars*. The original line-up consisted of Nadja Benaissa, Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Vanessa Petruo and Jessica Wahls. With their debut single *Daylight in Your Eyes* and their first album *Elle'ments* (2001), they took the German charts by storm and became the most successful girl group in the German-speaking world. Their songs, characterised by catchy pop melodies, R&B influences and harmonious vocals, delighted millions of fans.

The No Angels enjoyed immense success in the early 2000s, placing several singles and albums at the top of the charts, including hits such as *Something About Us* and *Still in Love with You*. Their music, coupled with elaborate choreography and glamorous performances, made them stars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They won numerous awards, including Echos and Bravo Ottos, and had a decisive influence on pop music at the time.

After their split in 2003, there were various comeback attempts and the group kept getting back together in different constellations. In 2021, on the occasion of their 20th anniversary, the No Angels celebrated a big comeback with the original line-up (without Vanessa Petruo). They released the album *20*, on which they reinterpreted some of their greatest hits and added new material. Today, the No Angels are one of the most iconic girl groups in the German-speaking world and have left a lasting impression on the music scene.
