Morrissey

Morrissey, full name Steven Patrick Morrissey, is a British singer, songwriter and author who fronted the legendary band The Smiths became famous in the 1980s. With his distinctive voice, profound lyrics and melancholy melodies, he had a significant influence on the indie and alternative scene. Songs like This Charming Man, There Is a Light That Never Goes Out and How Soon Is Now? made him the cult figure of a generation.

After the dissolution of The Smiths In 1987, Morrissey launched a successful solo career and released albums such as Viva Hate (1988), You Are the Quarry (2004) and I Am Not a Dog on a Chain (2020). His music is characterised by introspective, often provocative lyrics in which he addresses topics such as social injustice, love, loneliness and vegetarianism.
