Between electronic spheres and songwriter soul

Monolink is the solo project of Berlin musician Steffen Linck, who combines electronic music with the intimacy of a singer-songwriter. He stands for a special fusion of spherical techno sounds, driving beats and handmade melodies, characterised by his distinctive voice and profound lyrics. In his tracks, the club feeling meets personal stories, which makes him worth listening to both on festival stages and in introspective moments at home.

Originally coming from the guitar and singer-songwriter scene, Monolink has developed his very own style that fuses melodic deep house elements with live vocals and acoustic instruments. Songs such as "Return to Oz" or "Sirens" build up tension slowly, unfolding over hypnotic arrangements and creating an almost meditative flow. It is less about escapism and more about musical depth - a journey inwards.

Monolink manages to combine emotion and electronics and moves effortlessly between the two worlds. His live sets, in which he simultaneously sings, plays guitar and controls electronic beats, impressively demonstrate how close danceability and thoughtfulness can be. He is thus exemplary of a new generation of electronic artists who tell stories beyond the DJ booth.
