Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band that was founded in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band consists of lead singer and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch and drummer Zach Lind. They have released ten studio albums, with the last nine featuring the current line-up.

The band was named after a drawing that Tom's younger brother Ed drew at the age of eight after an argument with his slightly overweight brother Jim and called it "Jimmy Eat World".

Her breakthrough came with the release of several singles from her album "Bleed American" (2001), four of which reached the top 20 of the Alternative Songs Charts, with "The Middle" reaching number 1. Their follow-up album "Futures" (2004) contained the number 1 song "Pain". The RIAA certified "Bleed American" platinum and "Futures" gold, rewarding the two albums for selling over 1.5 million records between them. The band's sixth album, "Chase This Light" (2007), became their highest-charting album, reaching No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
