**Helloween** is a German power metal band that was founded in Hamburg in 1984 and is regarded as a pioneer and trailblazer of European power metal. The band was founded by guitarist Kai Hansen and bassist Markus Grosskopf and made a name for themselves early on with their melodic and fast metal sound. With albums such as *Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I* (1987) and *Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part II* (1988), they achieved international fame and laid the foundations for the power metal sound that continues to influence numerous bands today. These albums are considered milestones of the genre and made Helloween stars in Europe, Japan and South America.
After several line-up changes, including the departure of Kai Hansen, and ups and downs in the 1990s, the band has found new strength in recent decades. With the "Pumpkins United" tour and the 2021 release of the self-titled album *Helloween*, founding members Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske returned to the band and reunited with the current members, including singer Andi Deris. This "United Line-Up" thrilled fans worldwide and brought Helloween a new wave of success.
Helloween is known for their energetic live performances and the combination of melodic guitar riffs, anthemic choruses and their unmistakable humour. Their fans, who affectionately call them "Pumpkins", appreciate the band for their loyalty to the roots of power metal, while always providing fresh impulses. Today, Helloween are among the icons of metal and inspire generations of fans with their unmistakable sound.
