Gims

Gims (real name Gandhi Djuna) is a French-Congolese singer, rapper and songwriter who has achieved international fame with his distinctive voice and cross-genre music. Born in Kinshasa in 1986, he moved to France with his family as a child, where he later became part of the successful rap group Sexion d'Assaut became. With dynamic beats, profound lyrics and melodic hooks, he made a lasting impression on the French music scene.

Gims launched his solo career in 2013 with the album Subliminalwith hits like J'me tyre celebrated great success. This was followed by further albums such as Mon cœur avait raison (2015) and Ceinture Noire (2018), on which he combined rap with pop, Afrobeat and Latin American influences.
