Frei.Wild is a German rock band from Brixen in South Tyrol that has stood for clear words, powerful riffs and strong fan loyalty since its foundation in 2001. Consisting of singer and guitarist Philipp Burger, guitarist Jonas Notdurfter, bassist Jochen Gargitter and drummer Christian Forer, the band has gained a huge fan base throughout the German-speaking world with authentic lyrics that deal with themes such as home, identity, friendship and headwinds.

Musically, Frei.Wild moves between rock, punk and anthemic German rock. With successful albums such as Antidote, Enemies of your enemies or Still they have regularly occupied top positions in the charts. Their energetic concerts are characterised by a sense of community, directness and an uncompromising commitment to their origins and convictions. They also founded their own label, Rookies & Kings, which promotes other rock bands.

Frei.Wild has always been at the centre of public debate and is the subject of controversial discussion - not least because of their provocative lyrics and their strong connection to their homeland. However, the band itself consistently emphasises its democratic values, its rejection of extremism and its role as a mouthpiece for people who will not be bent. Frei.Wild is more than just music - it is an attitude.
