Dogstar is an alternative rock band that was founded in the 1990s as a side project of Hollywood actors. The band consists of Robert Mailhouse on drums, Bret Domrose on guitar and Keanu Reeves on bass and vocals.
Dogstar originally began as a hobby for the three members, who shared a passion for music and were looking for another creative outlet alongside their film careers. However, the band soon developed into a serious project that gave them the opportunity to experiment away from the spotlight and create their own music.
With a unique sound that combines elements of alternative rock, grunge and post-grunge, Dogstar has gained a loyal fan base. Their songs are characterised by catchy melodies, powerful rhythms and honest, introspective lyrics inspired by the band members' personal experiences.
