Progressive alternative rock with heart and energy
Biffy Clyro is a Scottish rock band that has been thrilling audiences with its distinctive blend of alternative rock, post-hardcore and progressive elements since the late 1990s. The trio was founded in 1995 in Ayrshire, Scotland, by singer and guitarist Simon Neil and twin brothers James (bass) and Ben Johnston (drums).
The band is known for its powerful sound, unconventional song structures and emotional intensity. While their early albums were primarily celebrated in the British indie and rock scene, their album Puzzle (2007) was the commercial breakthrough. This was followed by other successful works such as Only Revolutions, Opposites and Ellipsiswith which Biffy Clyro also gained a loyal international fan base.
Biffy Clyro's music thrives on contrasts - it is loud and quiet, angry and vulnerable, complex and accessible at the same time. Their lyrics are often poetic, cryptic and profound, while their live performances are known for their raw energy and emotional impact.
With every release, the band proves its willingness to evolve without losing its artistic integrity. Biffy Clyro stand for a passionate, intelligent and uncompromising form of modern rock - uncomfortable, touching and always authentic.
