Bibiza

Bibiza, whose real name is Franz Bibiza, is an up-and-coming rapper from Austria. Born in Vienna in 1999, he began teaching himself to play the guitar at the age of 12 and covered songs by bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Cure and the Smashing Pumpkins.

Inspired by German pop-rap music, especially the song "Easy" by Cro, Bibiza started rapping and producing his own beats at the age of 13. His music is a mixture of different genres, including pop, funk-rock, electronic music and hip-hop, with strong influences from the 1980s.

Bibiza released his first single "Absolut" together with Keinplan in 2018. His first album "Copypaste" followed in 2019. His most commercially successful album "Wiener Schickeria" was released on 12 May 2023 and received predominantly positive reviews in the German-speaking music scene.

Bibiza has already achieved considerable fame, both locally and throughout the German-speaking world. He was honoured at the 2024 Amadeus Awards in the "Songwriter of the Year" category for "An Ode to Vienna" and in the "Best Sound" category for "Wiener Schickeria".
