Cologne cult band with attitude and passion

BAP is one of Germany's best-known and most influential rock bands - not least because of their distinctive frontman Wolfgang Niedecken and their unmistakable lyrics in Kölsch. Founded in Cologne in 1976, BAP has developed over the decades into a musical institution that has had an impact far beyond the borders of the Rhineland.

BAP's music combines classic rock with elements of folk, blues and occasionally reggae, carried by catchy melodies and often politically charged, poetic lyrics. The band has always remained authentic and edgy - and above all close to the people. Songs such as "Verdamp lang her", "Kristallnaach" and "Do kanns zaubere" have long been cult favourites and tell stories of life, love, doubt and struggle.
