The Driver Era is an American music duo consisting of the brothers Rocky and Ross Lynch. Both were former members of the now defunct band R5.
The story of The Driver Era began in 2018 when R5's Instagram and Twitter handles were changed to The Driver Era and all of R5's previous posts were deleted. On the same day, Ross announced via an Instagram story that The Driver Era would be a band consisting of him and his brother Rocky.
Their debut single "Preacher Man" was highly praised in the alternative/indie music scene. The band has also released several other songs, including "Afterglow", "Low" and "Feel You Now".
The Driver Era's music is a blend of alternative rock, funk and R&B. They are known for their energetic performances and strong chemistry on stage. Their albums have reached high chart positions both in the USA and internationally.
