PUR
Pur is a German pop band from Bietigheim-Bissingen in Baden-Württemberg. The band was founded in 1975 as Crusade and renamed Pur in 1985. The members are Hartmut Engler (vocals), Joe Crawford (bass), Rudi Buttas (guitar), Ingo Reidl (keyboards), and others.
Their breakthrough came in 1990 with the release of the gold-selling album "Unendlich Mehr". Over the course of their career, they have achieved numerous chart positions for albums such as "Nichts ohne Grund" and "Mächtig viel Theater" as well as singles such as "Hör gut zu" and "Wenn du da bist". Their biggest success, however, was the album "Abenteuerland", which went quadruple platinum.
Pur is known for its energetic live performances and has received several awards throughout its career, including the ECHO award for best national group five times. Their music addresses a wide range of topics and has won many fans over the years.
