LX and Maxwell are German rappers who are members of the Hamburg rap group 187 Strassenbande. LX, real name Alexander Gabriel Hutzler, was born in Hamburg in 1986, and Maxwell, real name Maxwell Kwabena, was also born in Hamburg in 1993.
The two met in 2014 after LX joined 187 Strassenbande. Maxwell had already joined the gang two years earlier. They hit it off right away and decided to make a collabo album straight away. Entitled "Obststand" and released in 2015, the album entered the German charts at number 5 and received a silver award. A year later, the two were even nominated for the Echo award for "Best Newcomer National".
Their latest album "Obststand 3" was released on 14 September 2023. The album was celebrated with an exclusive release event in Hamburg. The beats on the album were produced by Soma, Lawin, DeeVoe, Jambeatz, Nirco, Face and The Cratez. Featured guests include Gzuz, BonezMC, RAF Camora, Sa4, Lupo Kadafi, Dachoyce and Ciiio.
