Sido

Sido, real name Paul Hartmut "Siggi" Würdig, was born on 30 November 1980 in East Berlin. He is a German rapper, music producer, songwriter and actor from Berlin-Märkisches Viertel. Sido's music belongs to various styles of rap: gangsta rap, pop rap, rap rock, trap, comedy rap, battle rap or "rap ballads".

He first came to wider attention in 2004 with the single "Mein Block" and, together with Bushido, has since been considered the main person responsible for the commercial establishment of German-language ghetto rap and his label at the time, Aggro Berlin. According to the record awards, Sido has sold over 9.7 million records and has been honoured with several awards, including an MTV Europe Music Award and two Echos.

Sido talks openly and honestly about topics such as his divorce, his self-destructive approach to drugs and going into therapy. His influence on the German rap scene is undeniable and his music remains relevant.
