A Day To Remember (often abbreviated as ADTR) is an American band from Ocala, Florida, formed in 2003. The group is known for their unique blend of metalcore, pop-punk and post-hardcore, which gives them a sound all their own. With powerful guitar riffs, catchy melodies and emotional lyrics, they have built up a huge fan base. Frontman Jeremy McKinnon not only characterises the band with his distinctive vocals, but also with his alternation between melodic singing and aggressive shouting.
ADTR became famous with albums like "Homesick" (2009) and "What Separates Me from You" (2010) became internationally recognised. Songs like "The Downfall of Us All", "If It Means a Lot to You" and "All I Want" are regarded as anthems of the scene and combine heavy breakdowns with poppy choruses. Their music often speaks of personal struggles, friendship and the pursuit of self-realisation - themes that many of their fans identify with.
In addition to their studio work, the band is also known for their energetic live performances. They manage to combine mosh pits and emotional sing-along moments in one show, which makes ADTR a highlight at festivals and tours. Even after more than 20 years of band history, A Day To Remember remain an integral part of the rock and hardcore scene and continue to develop their sound.
