
Xzibit, real name Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, is an American rapper, actor and television presenter who rose to worldwide fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1974, he later moved to California, where he began his music career. With his raw flow and powerful lyrics, he quickly made a name for himself in the West Coast rap scene. His breakthrough came in 1998 with the album "40 Dayz & 40 Nightz"which was celebrated by critics and firmly established him in the hip-hop world.
Probably his best-known album "Restless" (2000) brought hits like "X" and has been produced by the likes of Dr Dre. Xzibit has worked with numerous hip-hop legends, including Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg, and has been recognised for his distinctive voice and energetic performance. In addition to his music career, he also became famous for his role as host of the MTV programme "Pimp My Ride" in which he had cars converted in a humorous and creative way - a cult format that also made him very popular outside the rap scene.
In addition to his music and TV career, Xzibit also worked as an actor and appeared in films such as "8 Mile" and "The X-Files: I Want to Believe". Despite ups and downs in his career, Xzibit remains an integral part of hip-hop culture, known for his authentic style and influence on West Coast rap.
