Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge is an American singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice, honest lyrics and her mix of rock, folk and blues. Born on 29 May 1961 in Leavenworth, Kansas, she began playing guitar and writing songs at an early age. Her self-titled debut album was released in 1988 and spawned hits such as Bring Me Some Waterwhich brought her immediate recognition in the rock music scene.

Etheridge's international breakthrough came in 1993 with the album Yes I Amwhich includes classics such as Come to My Window and I'm the Only One contains.
