**Healing** is a Danish-Norwegian-German band known for its unique mix of historical and ritual music. The group was founded in 2014 by the Dane Christopher Juul, the Norwegian singer Maria Franz and the German musician Kai Uwe Faust. Heilung's music focuses on ancient Nordic myths and rituals and combines historical texts with archaic sounds and a theatrical stage presence. Their sound, which they themselves describe as "amplified history", is based on original instruments such as bone flutes, drums and replicas of historical weapons and invites the audience on a journey to a bygone era.
The debut album *Ofnir* (2015) quickly made Heilung famous and led to a growing fan base drawn to the archaic rhythms and hypnotic chants. *Futha* (2019), their second album, continued their success and expanded their musical style with further ritualistic elements. Her live performances in particular have achieved cult status, as healing with her elaborate stage design and shamanic ritual style create an intense, almost trance-like atmosphere, often reminiscent of a spiritual ceremony.
Healing's music goes far beyond mere listening and is an experience that combines history, mythology and mysticism. The band addresses both the ancient struggles and the spiritual world of their ancestors, and their works often pay homage to Norse culture and history. Heilung has managed to create a unique niche and enrich the modern music world with something completely different and original.
