**Incubus** is an American rock band that was founded in 1991 in Calabasas, California. Founding members Brandon Boyd (vocals), Mike Einziger (guitar), José Pasillas (drums), Alex Katunich (bass) and later DJ Chris Kilmore (turntables, keyboards) brought a unique blend of alternative rock, funk, metal and electronic influences to the music scene. This versatility made them one of the most innovative and successful bands of the 1990s and 2000s.
Incubus made their breakthrough with the album *Make Yourself* (1999), which contained the hit *Drive* and achieved worldwide fame. Their signature sound, characterised by Boyd's emotional vocals and Einziger's complex guitar arrangements, continued to evolve in albums such as *Morning View* (2001), which cemented their place in the alternative rock landscape with songs like *Wish You Were Here* and *Nice to Know You*. Incubus repeatedly proved their ability to transcend genres by incorporating elements of jazz, hip-hop and acoustic ballads.
The band remained relevant into the new millennium, releasing several successful albums such as *A Crow Left of the Murder...* (2004) and *Light Grenades* (2006), and touring the world with energetic live shows. Incubus is known for their experimental approach to music, which has earned them both a loyal following and critical acclaim. Today, Incubus remains active, releasing new music and intriguing fans with their ability to evolve without losing their roots.
