Loi (3 July 2002, actually Leonie Greiner) is a German singer from Mannheim. She first appeared in the school competition "Starke Schule", where she took first place in Baden-Württemberg and second place nationwide with a song she wrote herself. In 2017, she was a contestant in the show "The Voice Kids" and reached the final. During her A-levels, she started publishing songs on TikTok, including a sung recipe for pancakes and a cover version of "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd. These videos made her famous, and by 2021 she had over 163,000 followers and around 1.3 million likes. Her pseudonym "Loi" is based on her former nickname "Leonie Löwenherz". She has had a distribution contract with Warner Music Central Europe since 2021. Her debut single "I Follow" became the title song of the cinema film "Ostwind - Der große Orkan". Other singles such as "Melody", "Pick Up!" and "Bad Idea" followed. Her breakthrough came with the single "Gold" in 2022, which reached fourth place in the German airplay charts. Loi is an up-and-coming artist who has already gained international attention with her music.
