Kreuzberg forms the unshakeable basis for RAPK - and always will. Victor and Tariq's poetry is imbued with local pride and characterised by scenes from their immediate surroundings: the sun shines while an elderly lady steals her vegetables in Wrangelstraße. While the district changes, RAPK remains constant. With the 361 in their hearts and the wider world in their sights, the duo draw stylistic inspiration not only from the streets of Berlin, but also from the banlieues of Marseille and the dry sounds of the UK. Victor and Tariq skilfully juggle between the familiar and the experimental - and executive producer Gusy skilfully performs slice-of-life scenes as well as powerful statements.
