The Ghost Inside, formerly known as A Dying Dream, is an American metalcore band from El Segundo, California. It was founded in 2004 and currently consists of singer Jonathan Vigil, guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis, bassist Jim Riley and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk.
The band has released one EP and five studio albums, with their latest album "The Ghost Inside" being released on 5 June 2020 via Epitaph Records as a return from their hiatus. Their music is a mixture of metalcore and melodic hardcore.
In their early phase, when they were still known as A Dying Dream, they released an EP called "Now or Never" on Frontline Records. A year later they signed to Mediaskare Records, where they re-recorded and released the EP with an additional track and bonus live material.
Their second album "Returners" was released on 8 June 2010 via Mediaskare Records. In 2012, the band was signed to Epitaph Records. Their first album for Epitaph Records, "Get What You Give", which was produced by Jeremy McKinnon, the singer of A Day to Remember, was released on 19 June 2012 and debuted at number 88 on the Billboard 200.
In 2014, the band released a new song called "Avalanche" and later that year their album "Dear Youth", which was released on 17 November 2014 via Epitaph Records and debuted at number 63 on the Billboard 200.
