Thundermother is a Swedish hard rock band that was founded in 2009 by Filippa Nässil in Växjö. The band has been characterised by numerous line-up changes over the years, with Filippa Nässil, the founder and guitarist, being the only constant member since its formation.
Thundermother's music is heavily inspired by classic rock'n'roll and hard rock bands such as AC/DC and Creedence Clearwater Revival. They have released several albums, including "Heat Wave" in 2020, which reached number six in the album charts in Germany. This album was particularly noteworthy because, for the first time, all the other members besides band leader Filippa Nässil contributed song ideas.
In 2023, there was another change in the band's line-up. Vocalist Guernica Mancini and two other members left the band and Linnéa Vikström took over the vocals. Despite the many changes in the line-up, Thundermother has retained its musical identity and continues to produce powerful and energetic rock'n'roll.
Today, Thundermother is an established name in the rock scene and has played numerous concerts and festivals throughout Europe. With their passionate performance and unmistakable sound, the band has gained a loyal fan base.
