Glass Animals is a British indie rock band formed in Oxford, England, in 2012. The band consists of Dave Bayley (vocals, guitar, tambourine), Andrew "Drew" MacFarlane (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals), Edmund Irwin-Singer (bass, keyboard, backing vocals) and Joe Seaward (drums).
Their debut album "Zaba" was released in June 2014 and reached number 12 in the Australian album charts and number 177 in the US album charts. In May 2016, the band announced the release of their second album "How to Be a Human Being" for August 2016.
On 29 June 2020, "Heat Waves" was released as the lead single from their third studio album "Dreamland", which made it into the charts for the first time. The band received a gold disc for the album in the United States.
The band has also won several awards, including Variety's Hitmakers Group of the Year award in 2021. Glass Animals are known for their unique sound that combines elements of indie rock, alternative R&B, trip-hop, psychedelic pop and art pop.
