Luke Hemmings

Luke Hemmings, born on 16 July 1996 in Freemans Reach, New South Wales, is an Australian pop singer. He is known as the lead singer and founding member of the pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS), which reached its international peak in the 2010s. Since 2014, 5SOS has sold more than 10 million albums, sold over two million concert tickets worldwide, and the band's songs have been streamed over 7 billion times.

In July 2021, Hemmings released his solo album, When Facing the Things We Turn Away From. The album debuted at number one on the ARIA album charts and reached the top 20 in Belgium and the United Kingdom.

Hemmings grew up in the Sydney metropolitan area and began playing guitar at the age of 10. As a teenager, he played on the street and posted recordings of his cover songs on the internet. Together with Calum Hood and Michael Clifford, he founded the teen band 5 Seconds of Summer.

Despite his solo career, Hemmings is still a member of the band 5SOS. It is reported that he will be touring Europe in May 2024, including a concert in Cologne.
