Kelvin Jones, real name Tinashe Kelvin Mupani, was born on 10 February 1995 in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. He is a Zimbabwean-British singer-songwriter and lives and works in Germany.
Jones grew up in Zimbabwe until he was nine years old and then moved to London. He studied mechanical engineering in England and began working as a singer-songwriter on the side. In 2014, a friend published Jones' song "Call You Home" on Reddit, which went viral and was viewed around one million times within a day. After this success, Jones gave up his studies and decided to become a professional musician.
He signed a contract with Four Music and recorded the album "Stop the Moment" in Berlin, which was released on 11 September 2015. The album reached number 71 in the German charts and number 55 in the Swiss charts. "Only Thing We Know" was released in 2018 and in May 2020 he competed in the Free European Song Contest for Great Britain with his song "Friends".
Jones was a participant in the ninth season of the show "Sing meinen Song - Das Tauschkonzert", which has been broadcast since 26 April 2022. In 2024, he is on the jury of "Dein Song".
His discography includes several albums, including "Stop the Moment" (2015) and "This Too Shall Last" (2022). According to record awards, he has sold more than 930,000 records to date.
