The **257ers** are a German hip-hop duo from Essen, consisting of the two rappers Mike (Shneezin) and Daniel (Keule). The group was originally founded in 2006 as a trio with rapper Daniel (Jewlz), who left the group in 2010. Known for their humorous and ironic style, the 257ers mix cheeky sayings, often absurd stories and catchy beats to create their very own sound. With their energetic and crazy stage presence, they have firmly established themselves in the German hip-hop scene.

Their albums *Boomshakkalakka* (2014) and *Mikrokosmos* (2016) not only brought them recognition, but also commercial success. *Mikrokosmos* even reached number 1 in the German album charts and contains hits such as *Holland*, a song that humorously celebrates the neighbouring country of the Netherlands and has long since achieved cult status. The 257ers' music is strongly characterised by the Ruhrpott and reflects the everyday life and mentality of the region with a great deal of self-irony.

The 257ers are known for their provocative lyrics and their mixture of party tracks and ironic parodies, which set them apart from other German rap groups.
